Shekitra Starke is a Christian singer-songwriter with a powerful and anointed voice.

With her captivating voice and distinctive music style, singer and songwriter Shekitra Starke appeals to a broad and diverse audience. Early in her career, Shekitra’s singing, and dancing skills propelled her to being casted in the National Tour of Fosse; Starke was eventually promoted to performing as the headliner of the show. Following that opportunity, Starke was cast in the Off-Broadway musical River Deep: A Tribute to Tina Turner, where she played an Ikette and was the lead singer of the show’s band. From there, Shekitra made her Broadway debut, as an original cast member of the musical Mary Poppins, where she played the featured role of Aphrodite. The musical was nominated for seven Tony Awards, including ‘Best Musical’, during Starke’s three year run with the production. Shekitra was also casted, as a dancer, in the Warner Brothers musical film Rock of Ages. Starke has also appeared in numerous television commercials, over the years, working with many celebrated brands and clients.

Shekitra released her new single titled “Not Afraid of Your Love,” on Feb. 14th, 2025, with multiple projects slated for release throughout the year.
